James talks about the differences between the old school intelligence officers versus today’s more risk adverse approach. Other effective intel "agencies" (ISI for example) certainly are adept at all methods for "collecting, cultivating, gathering, etc"- we need to have people how are willing to be comprehensive agents not just specialists-who are willing to be uncomfortable-see it as a badge of honor rather than a risk to avoid. Please have another discussion on this sometime soon now that leadership in our departments and agencies handling intel collection has changed. Thank you.
