Finally joined and watched this segment today. Well done! I'm not too surprised that the proposals in NY City were pretty extreme. Sorry, I will use my AR15 and handgun responsibly but giving them up or registering them is not remotely possible,
All gun laws are unconstitutional...no more infringements.
Dear lord, I had no idea you could pile up so much ignorance in such a small geographic area. That guy doesn't realize that the musket WAS the common weapon of war at the time and that's the whole point. The militia could respond upon being summoned to fight, and the rest of the time, you hunted with it and otherwise defended yourself as necessary.
Everyone has a perspective on every controversial issue. Many of those perspectives are born from experience and unfortunately, many are born from ignorance and societal peer pressure. Undoubtedly, any of these individuals who have experienced violence, in war or otherwise, would be 2nd Amendment proponents. Those fortunate enough to have led lives never tainted by violent people will find out quickly what true evil is if they are successful in disarming America.
Is America at war with itself? When we consider the horrific history of gun control and gun confiscation, we quickly realize that if ever there was a reason to go to war to preserve our rights, our right to keep and bear military-equivalent firearms, would be at the top of that list of reasons. To defend ourselves from the possibility of abuse by our government, we must be willing to defend our rights by force.
