Jack Murphy asks Jim West about experiences you might run into in real world situations. Most of the time at a bar you wont get a proper punch so disarming or defending against attacks can be easier than you might think. Jim talks about different ways to stand while staying in different protective positions and “answer the phone.”
Jack then gets to practice these skills with Clint while Jim explains “If it feels strong it’s wrong.”

I think in about 20 more years I'd like to give Jim a go at being a sparring partner. Hopefully his hands get a little slower by then, damn.
I know the original SCARS guys and there is always going to be some similarities from like minds. This stuff is geared to be very basic and simple for anyone, even those who don't really train.
I used to mess around with a system called SCARS 20 years ago or so. The idea was based on the reaction you would get each time you struck an aggressor. What Jim is doing looks very similar. Almost a choreographed dance of some sort. Any comments on this? Jim looks very intimidating and fearless.
Hey guys thanks for all of your comments. I like to keep it a little more real with the aspect of not looking like Hollywood.
Very good information and demonstrations!!! Thank you Jim and others. Will practice what I have seen....
